About Me

Empathy and sensitivity have always been a part of who I am.  My intuitive nature and compassion for others led me to become a social worker as I wanted to be of service to others.  While still in University, I volunteered with a Supervised Access Program in Peel.  It was then that I found my passion to assist those engaged in conflict around separation and divorce issues.  Upon graduation, I worked in a variety of fields including corrections and child protection before embarking upon a private practice in 1998.  

Throughout my varied career as a social worker, I have helped individuals and families to move on in the midst of significant grief and loss, especially losses related to separation and divorce.   Aside from my private practice as a mediator and social worker, I am also a Clinician with the Office of the Children’s Lawyer and a roster Family Mediator at the Orangeville, Brampton and Newmarket Courthouses.

I am an Accredited Family Mediator and Online Dispute Resolution (ODR) Specialist through the Ontario Association of Family Mediators (OAFM), a Child and Youth Informed Mediator (CYIM) and a Registered Social Worker through Ontario College of Social Workers and Social Service Workers (OCSWSSW).  I am also a member of the Family Dispute Resolution Institute of Ontario (FDRIO) and the Ontario Association of Social Workers (OASW).  I have written articles for local newspapers and have appeared on the Ask Andrew Show with Andrew Feldstein as well as on the DCAFS Connecting with the Community Rogers Television Show.  I have also facilitated several courses and workshops.  

I am passionate in my desire to be of service to you, to assist you to minimize conflict, reach meaningful resolutions to your differences, to help you to heal mind, body and spirit and to provide you with support as you move forward, transforming your own life in ways that are meaningful to you.
